Privacy policy
A business card is public by design: what you publish on your card is meant to be shared. Everything else follows data minimization.
We store no raw IP addresses. Analytics keep only a device family (iOS / Android / desktop) and a country code, are rolled up daily, and raw rows are deleted after 90 days.
We use hosting and email providers, Apple and Google Wallet services, and purchase providers to operate Betaqa. They process the data needed for those functions. We do not sell your data or track you across apps for advertising.
Contacts shared back with you belong to you alone. You can export all of your data as JSON or permanently delete your account from the account page at any time.
In Liqa, an invitation displays your public card. The other person's submitted details are visible only to the participants. Contacts are saved after consent and confirmation, with the meeting date and optional event. Follow-up notes are private to their author. Invitations expire after 15 minutes; confirmed participant receipts remain available for 24 hours. Expired temporary sessions are deleted when new invitations are created or during daily maintenance. Contacts remain until deleted.
To understand how people find Betaqa, we record a source category such as Google or ChatGPT, the public page path and its language. This measurement never collects full referrer URLs or search terms. A signed cookie remembers this category for 30 minutes without a persistent visitor identifier. We keep anonymous daily counts and may associate the source, first card creation and first share action with a new account until deletion. This attribution is included in account exports. We honor DNT and GPC signals. A recorded share action does not prove delivery to another person.
iPhone app and support
Your account email, card details, images and links are stored on our servers so you can use them across devices. The app keeps a local copy for offline viewing. Information on a published card is accessible to anyone who opens its link.
Paper cards are read on-device. Scans, local contacts and private notes stay on your iPhone unless you choose to share or export them. If you enable Remember locations and grant permission, we save one location when you open the app or save a scanned card, with no background tracking. Approximate location is respected. Locations stay locally until you delete them in app settings; your Apple device backup may include this data, depending on your settings.
A greeting is sent only after your review and confirmation. The recipient’s name and email, your message and selected card go to our server and email provider, without the scanned image or private notes. Replies go to the card owner. We keep delivery status and suppression information to prevent unwanted messages. A delivered email cannot be recalled.
Apple processes in-app payments. We verify purchases and associate collection ownership with your account; we do not receive your payment card number. Deleting a Betaqa account does not automatically request a refund from Apple.
Request account deletion from Account in the app or website. After successful deletion, associated account data is removed and the account’s local data is cleared on the requesting device. Exported contacts and copies already delivered to others are not removed. Service providers may retain limited records for abuse prevention or purchase records.
For support and access, correction or deletion requests: support@betaqa.co. We process the information you send us to respond to your request.
