Choose what happens when someone scans your card

Betaqa offers two modes: a QR link that opens your page, and a vCard QR that contains the contact details themselves. The choice affects internet requirements, code density and scan measurement.

Link QR: an updated page and an exchange

The QR points to your Betaqa page. The recipient needs internet to view it, save your details or send theirs back. The scan link stays stable when you edit the card, and its visits can be counted. A scan is not proof that someone saved your contact.

vCard QR: basic details without a connection

The QR contains a name and embedded contact fields rather than opening the site. A reader supporting vCard can read it offline. More data makes the code denser and may require fewer fields. Betaqa cannot count offline scans, and the saved address-book contact does not sync automatically.

Design and scan reliability

Web and supported export codes can follow your card colors. Keep strong contrast and a clear quiet zone, and test on another device before printing. Apple draws the native Wallet QR; your web QR color choices do not redesign it.

Frequently asked questions

Which mode suits events?

Choose vCard when saving basic details offline matters most. Choose a link for a full page, exchange-back and visit measurement. Test with the devices your audience is likely to use.

Can I identify who scanned my code?

A QR scan does not reveal a person’s identity. Link scans provide usage counts; contact details arrive only when someone chooses to share them.

Does offline saving include photos and links?

The embedded vCard focuses on basic details and does not include the profile photo. Links need internet when opened. Downloading the full contact file from the website also needs a connection.
